Application: Hot/Chilled Water

The Cadillac® Magnetic Flow Meters for Hot/Chilled Water

Our Magnetic Flow Meters for water is a favorite for clients who need the best meter for water based flow applications. While the traditional choice in hot and cold water flow measurement has been of the mechanical flow meter variety, it is inferior to the more modern magnetic flow meter.

Mechanical systems are susceptible to wear and tear, constant maintenance and calibration. They are also not reliable or repeatability, and don’t provide very accurate results (typically 1 to 5%) and very limited turndown (usually 10:1 at best).

Efficiency is nearly everything in energy measurement, especially in this day and age of rising energy costs. Our clients not only need efficient, accurate, repeatable, and maintenance free flow measurement, they demand it.

The aforementioned issues have made it inevitable for users to seek improvements through non-mechanical flow measurement technology. Cadillac® Magnetic flow meters (CMAG & EMAG) were designed for and ideally suited for these much-needed improvements.

Magnetic flow meters for water are not exactly new technology, yet their high price point in the production process has limited their use in these applications. But now, current manufacturing technology has made our magnetic flow meter a cost effective solution. They are especially effective for any applications requiring high accuracy, little maintenance, obstruction-free mounting, and analog (rate) or pulse (totalized) outputs.

We offer the following magnetic flow meters for our customers:

Cadillac® CMAG Magnetic Flow Meter

The CMAG employs a revolutionary tube design. The CMAG is most effective where flow profiling is unavailable. The CMAG opens up new and retrofit installations to huge savings in design, layout or reconstruction/modification.

Cadillac® EMAG Magnetic Flow Meter

The EMAG with its traditional flow tube design provides an economical alternative for those applications where some piping straight run or flow profiling is available.

Cadillac® CU-TE Compact Ultrasonic Meter

The Cadillac® Ultrasonic Flow Meters are rate and totalizing meters which are capable of measuring liquids, of all types, non-intrusively.
